Adam and Leynah were our first wedding we photographed of 2016. It's fair to say it was one of our most favourite weddings of our whole photography career. A first for us, as we had never had an elopement, or "Runaway Wedding" as named by Nantwen, the beautiful Pembrokeshire wedding venue.. We rocked up to the stunningly styled holiday cottage and were instantly greeted to smiles, laughter, joy and wet dog! Adam and Leynah had chosen to marry in a simple elopement (civil) ceremony with just 2 witnesses, 2 registrars, 2 photographers and 1 dog, looking on. The ceremony was beautiful and simple, a very intimate affair, as you can imagine. It was just perfect. There was nothing complicated about the proceedings, just two truly chilled people wanting a laid back wedding with zero faff and without all the trimmings. Once they were married, Adam and Leynah celebrated with tea and cake, baked by Leynah to a point that Mary Berry would be pleased with! Besides the wedding itself being so beautiful, what truly blew us away was that these guys then invited us (yes, just us!) to sit and eat cake with them. We shared in their "wedding breakfast"! [as a side note, this was possibly the most awesome thing ever, I may have even shed a little tear of delight when I thought about it later]. Adam and Leynah decided they wanted to go and explore some of the beautiful views and see what Pembrokeshire wedding photography is all about. These guys live in Devon, so they are used to coastal beauty, so we thought we would take them to share something of our coastline. We took them to Porthgain. With its red brick harbour walls, its rugged views of the sea and walk up to the red brick ruins, we were spoilt. Who wouldn't want the wedding photographs at Porthgain?! It really is a no brainer when it comes to seeing why we chose this place and also why Adam and Leynah opted for Nantwen. Two stunning locations, perfect for a laidback wedding day.
Adam and Leynah, thank you so much for choosing us to capture your surprise wedding. It really was the hugest honour. We felt totally spoilt by your cake sharing and privileged to spend time capturing your wedding day photos. We are truly thrilled that you are so happy with your wedding photos and glad you've had fun showing them off and sharing your wedding day news! A massive congratulations to you on the safe arrival of "Indy Valentine". Looking forward to meeting up one day and introducing her to our little fella and big girl xx o&c
